Harvest of Autumn | Vivaldi’s Autumn from The Four Seasons
Designed by
Yvonne Yuen’s pressed-flower frame translates Vivaldi’s Autumn into a delicate, preserved composition. Flattened petals and stems are arranged like musical phrases within the frame—rhythmic arcs and flowing lines that echo the opening Allegro’s harvest dances and peasant revelry. Warm amber, gold, and russet tones carry the emotional colour of the season’s abundance, while the precise placement of botanical elements suggests both the joyful pulse of the celebration and the later energy of the hunt.
The flattened, intimate format settles the energy into a quieter repose, reflecting the Adagio’s hushed calm and sweet slumber. In this carefully composed frame, the work invites viewers to see the music of the golden harvest and hear the flowers of autumn—a quiet dialogue between Baroque vitality and the preserved grace of botanical form.
